About Galaxy Transformers

After spending close to 20 years servicing the transformer industry, we realized the need for a transformer company that would offer custom transformers at fair pricing while maintaining excellent quality and service.

Galaxy Transformer & Magnetics was formed in January of 1998 with the acquisition of Southeastern Transformer of Miramar Florida. In 1999, Galaxy merged the Southeastern Transformer facility into the corporate headquarters in Southern NJ.  Within 2 years of consolidating these facilities, Galaxy continued to expand production by acquiring prints, customer lists, and a variety of equipment from Baltimore Transformer of Elkridge MD and Camden Transformer when both ceased transformer production.

After several years of searching for a suitable off-shore facility, Galaxy partnered with Roger Chiang of Taiwan and started manufacturing in Southern China. In early 2007, Galaxy expanded its capacity to provide toroidal transformers by partnering with Tony Ko of Taiwan and began production of toroidal transformers in China.  Both Asian facilities have engineering and design capability as well as full production capabilities for all types of magnetic designs and properties, including agency approvals.

Now in business for over 10 years, our sales have continued to increase by close to 50% each year through new products, industries and customers. Whether a customer needs 1 or thousands of units, Galaxy prices and deliveries have helped them maintain this rate of growth.
