History of Galaxy Transformers
|
Southeastern
Transformer of
Miramar
,
FL
was started in the early
70’s by Ed Edlund and his partner Anna
Rossi. Late in the 90’s, Ed and Anna decided to retire when Jim
Curry made an offer to purchase the business as an investment. At that time,
Southeastern became a division under Galaxy Transformer & Magnetics, LLC
of
West Berlin
,
NJ
. After the acquisition, Ken
Burns relocated from
New Jersey
to run production at the
Florida
location. About 1-year later,
a decision, based purely on economics, was made to consolidate Southeastern
Transformer with the production facilities of Galaxy Transformer. Within 2 years
after this consolidation, Galaxy Transformer was fortunate to acquire the
customer lists, prints, and various pieces of manufacturing equipment from other transformer companies,
including Baltimore Transformer and Camden Transformer, after they ceased
transformer production. After several years
of searching for off-shore manufacturing that would offer quality as well as low
pricing, Curry partnered with Roger Chiang of Taiwan and started manufacturing
product in
China. With all the capabilities now
available, Galaxy Transformer offers quality products with quick turnaround at
very reasonable pricing regardless of the quantities. Whether
a customer needs 1 unit or thousands, Galaxy’s prices and delivery will be
hard to beat. Their goal is to help their customer save money so their volume
grows and everyone benefits.
